The department of Music promotes the Practice,understanding and enjoyment of music in the college. offering a board array of educational opportunities with specialization in composition, performance and music technology. The university result were excellent since its inception. it is offering 3 year Honours and Pass course under CBCS. At present there is 02 whole time faculty with 03 Govt. approved Part time teachers and one accompanist. The department has two full time post at present .Smt.Sutapa Saha, assistant professor and HOD, Sri. Pritam Katham ,assistant professor, Sri swajal Kumar Bera, Sri Soumen Mukharjee, Smt. Swati Paul and Sri Asok Kar.
